Stellenbosch Women Purchase UCT Status, Earn Promotion to Hollywoodbets Super League

Stellenbosch Women will compete in the Hollywoodbets Super League this coming season after purchasing the top-flight status of UCT Women, capping off a landmark year for the club’s rapidly growing women’s programme.
The move follows an outstanding 2025 season, during which Stellenbosch Women — competing in the Western Cape Sasol Women’s League — completed a perfect league campaign, winning all 18 matches, scoring 93 goals and conceding just nine. Their dominance was formally celebrated at the club’s Ladies Awards Ceremony in December 2025, where several players were honoured for their contributions.
The club’s success extended beyond the first team. In August 2025, the Stellenbosch FC Ladies Reserves were crowned SAFA Cape Town Women’s Regional League champions in their debut season, securing the title with a 3–0 victory in the stream final and suffering just one defeat all year. The Reserves’ triumph further underlined the depth and sustainability of the club’s women’s structure.
By acquiring UCT’s Super League status, Stellenbosch Women now step directly into South Africa’s premier women’s competition, marking a significant milestone in the club’s long-term vision to build a strong, competitive pathway for women’s football.
As preparations begin for their top-flight debut, Stellenbosch Women carry momentum, silverware and growing expectations into a new chapter on the national stage.
